Rosie O’Donnel knows what it is like to come out of the closet. And she’s lending her support to newbie Clay Aiken.

"I love Clay," Rosie says in a short and sweet message, as support for Aiken continue to pour in, "He is a beautiful man in every way."

"Clay has a strong following of folks that it's important to reach with our message about LGBT equality," president of media watchdog group GLAAD Neil G. Giuliano told E! News.

Just last week, the former American Idol runner up announced in big bold letters on the cover of People Magazine, “Yes, I’m gay.”
