As prolific singer-songwriter Kara DioGuardi joins Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell as the fourth judge of American Idol, the three had to scoot over. But are they happy about it? They certainly put on quite a show to convince us of their hearty welcome.

As the ever quick-tongued Cowell put it, "It's like, you know, having dinner with three people for seven years, and getting quite bored of each other. So it's having a fourth person, new opinion, I think it's gonna be interesting…And she's cute."

"I know Kara, and she speaks her mind—so she will be speaking her mind," Paula added, no longer being the lone rose among the thorns.
