The whole of Italy hollers out Ciao as the biggest and the brightest of Hollywood set to conquer Venice.

George Clooney, new parents Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Marisa Tomei, Ralph Fiennes and Ethan Coen are in town for the much-celebrated 65th Annual Venice Film Festival which jump starts on August 27.

Due to the writers’ strike, only a handful of English films have made it to the Italian movie marathon festival. Still, the cream of the crop include the Clooney and Pitt starrer Burn After Reading, Anne Hathaway’s Rachel Getting Married, The Burning Plain with Theron and Kim Basinger and Ralph Fienne’s Iraq war drama The Hurt Locker.
