According to reports, at around 2:45am Sunday, LaBeouf made a left turn on a red light prompting his Ford F150 to turn over across a road after it rear-ended another vehicle. The actor was taken to the Cedars-Sinai hospital after the accident and was attended to after sustaining injuries to the head, knee and left hand.
He was later taken into custody and was charged with drunk driving. There are reports that the actor will be given a citation and released on suspicion of a DUI offense.
LaBeouf’s spokespersons confirmed that he had to undergo extensive surgery on the affected hand and will thus be gone for at least one month from the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen that's currently being filmed.
The identity of the actor’s passenger, initially unknown, turned out to be actress Isabel Lucas, his co-star in the new sequel to the last summer’s hit Transformers, the NY Daily News reported.
Lucas also happens to be the girlfriend of Adrian Grenier, who she started dating in February after they bonded over environmental matters. The Aussie blonde actress will be appearing in his forthcoming series Alter Eco.
NYDN stated that Grenier was “testy” and declined to comment when he was asked about his GF’s condition after the early morning crash.
Looks like LaBeouf has another “headache” waiting for him.
I don’t know about you but the road retard ought to spend THE one month recuperating in a cell. That’s to teach him two lessons. First, a red signal means no-go. Second, that he shouldn’t hang out with someone else’s girl during the wee hours of the morning.
